Hand & Foot Fascia Restore (MELT-inspired)

Important Clarification

MELT is a client-led self-treatment method that teaches individuals how to use specialized therapeutic balls to support relaxation, mobility, alignment, and overall well-being. I offer guided instruction on how to perform MELT techniques, but all movements, pressure, and pacing are carried out by the client, based entirely on their own comfort levels.

MELT instruction is educational in nature. It focuses on helping clients understand their bodies, develop mindful awareness, and support the natural balance of their connective tissue system. It is not physical therapy, massage therapy, or medical treatment, and should not be interpreted as such. I do not diagnose, treat, or cure any specific medical condition, nor do I provide hands-on bodywork or manipulate tissue.

I am not a physician, medical provider, physical therapist, or massage therapist. Clients experiencing injuries, persistent pain, or specific health concerns are encouraged to consult a licensed healthcare professional before beginning any new wellness practice.

How does MELT work?

Day-to-day living creates tension within our bodies. Physical stressors range from sitting at a desk to running a marathon. Carrying children and heavy bags creates trapped tension, as does even the gentlest form of exercise. Emotional, mental, and environmental stressors such as processed foods, medications, environmental toxins, and daily worries all build tension in the body.

New Science reveals that this “stuck stress” is literally trapped in our connective tissue, which surrounds every joint, muscle, nerve, bone and organ. Unaddressed trapped stress causes connective tissue dehydration and cellular damage. This creates a domino effect which begins with aches and stiffness and leads to common health issues such as neck and low back pain, headaches, insomnia, digestive problems, and injury. Accelerated aging and chronic health problems can follow…leaving us with limited options such as medicine, surgery, and sedentary lifestyle.

However, when the connective tissue is hydrated and free of roadblocks, our bodies function at a more optimal level. MELT is a breakthrough technique that keeps our connective tissue and nervous system in top condition and slows down the aging process. MELT rejuvenates tissue hydration and relieves the tension of day-to-day life that gets trapped in our bodies. No other proactive approach directly treats the connective tissue including nutrition, exercise, yoga, meditation, or vitamins.

MELT is easy to learn, backed by cutting-edge research, and offers immediate results that you will see and feel the first time you MELT. Changes in posture, flexibility, energy, mood, and performance occur within only a few sessions. Best of all, your body feels great long after you MELT!

What is MELT?

MELT is a revolutionary approach to pain-free longevity that helps you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. This patent-pending, pro-active self-treatment technique is backed by science and acclaimed by thousands of devoted MELTers.

New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide whole-body support, protection, and mind-body communication. Exercise physiologist and connective tissue specialist Sue Hitzman has transformed groundbreaking neurofascial science and hands-on therapies into a one-of-a-kind treatment method called MELT.

MELT is for anyone who wants to slow down the aging process and live better, longer. For those in their 40's, 50's, 60's and older who want to stay active, mobile and independent MELT is a must. MELT is for active younger adult and athletes who want to maintain a fit, toned body and achieve optimal performance without debilitating wear and tear.

MELT is truly for everyone! Even if you a pregnant, injured, post-surgery, overweight, sedentary, out of shape, have limited mobility, chronic pain, knee/hip replacements, or bone disorders- you can still MELT. It’s the best starting point for any exercise program.

How often should I MELT?

MELT a minimum of 15 minutes, three times a week to experience immediate and long-lasting benefits. And if you want to MELT every day, that’s okay too!

MELT before strength training to improve muscle performance or after a cardio workout to erase joint compression and stiffness.

People who MELT regularly find that they want to exercise more often. It’s just more fun to move when your body feels good, has more energy and is free of pain.

Is MELT like yoga, Feldenkrais, Pilates, or physical therapy?

No. MELT is unlike any other technique because it addresses and entirely different system of the body. MELT is to the neurofascial system (nervous and connective tissue system) what all other forms of exercise are to the musculoskeletal system. The science of the neurofascial system is being introduced to the health and fitness arena for the first time by Sue Hitzmann and MELT.

Has MELT been reviewed by experts?

Yes, MELT has been reviewed by internationally respected doctors, neuroscientists, and connective-tissue researchers, including Ben Domb, M.D: Tom Myers; Bill Hedley, Ph.D. ; Robert Schleip, Ph.D.; and Jean Pierre Barral, D.O. Each expert has recognized that MELT is ground in scientific principles and offers extraordinary benefits.

"Anica started with the MELT Method, then we moved on to a sound bath, followed by Reiki combined with a sound bath, and finally Reiki combined with tuning forks.

At the beginning of MELT, we checked which parts of my arms and legs had tension and pain. I followed the exercises she demonstrated using the balls, and already after the first MELT sequence, I felt a difference. When she checked the tension in my neck, she noticed that turning my head to the right caused some pain, while I could turn it more easily to the left. She also found that I had pain and tension in my hands and shoulders.

When we started MELT for the hands, I felt how the balls released the painful spots — it felt incredibly good. We also did MELT for the face, and the effect was the same: amazing relaxation and a noticeable release of tension in just a few minutes.

During our conversation, I told her that my feet hurt and that I felt my body weight was unevenly distributed on them — they were very tense. At first, I could feel the weight of my body mainly on the edges of my feet. We began MELT for the feet, and she showed me every exercise patiently and with great care. My feet were a bit more sensitive than my hands, but the even pressure of the balls felt wonderful. After the first sequence, I felt relief, although there was still some tension in one spot under my big toes. We did another sequence, and afterward, I felt like I could fly — my body weight was so beautifully balanced, it was the best feeling after such a long period of foot pain!

The sound bath was a very beautiful and, above all, new experience for me. I thought I was fine and relaxed — until we started. I lay down on the bed, and she placed the singing bowls on my chakras and began. The vibrations of the bowls felt wonderful in my body, like I was being filled with energy.

Anica then took the Koshi chime and began to play. The sound I heard is something I will remember for the rest of my life — the most beautiful sound ever. At that moment, I felt strong pain in my chest, and sad images from difficult moments in my life started coming to my mind. I began to cry; it was very intense. For the next 15 minutes, I felt great tightness around my heart and in my chest while crying, but I also felt lighter. I didn’t feel like all the pain had gone, but I did feel much better. I also felt nauseous for a moment, but that passed quickly — and the pain in my chest was completely gone after five days.

Right now I feel very good, I'm full of energy, my mind is clear, and I'm ready for new victories."

"Anica shared the technology of using small, varied sized spheres applied mainly to the hands to effect a nerve and spine relaxation with myself and a mutual friend. While I was not suffering from back or neck pain, it is true that hands, like feet, are linked to far ranging parts of the body. Through her performance of various massage-like application of the small spheres, an overall sense of calm and de-stressing occurred. It had, for me, similar results from more involved body massage without the hassle. The time needed for the process is detailed and takes similar time as a massage. See other reviews for its efficacy for back and neck tension/pain. Anica has her own experience with pain relief from the treatment that was life-changing for her."

" Anica introduced me to the Melt Method to help relieve stiffness and movement restriction in my neck which causes headaches. She also showed me multiple exercises using the small Melt Method balls to help relieve pain and regain mobility in my wrist which I broke several years ago. She provided me with specific, easy to follow instructions showing me how to keep doing Melt-Method self-care at home. Our session continued with Reiki where I could readily feel the warmth and energy from her hands as she worked. She found tension in several spots worked to relax that energy. Finally, a beautiful and surrounding sound bath left me fully relaxed and completely refreshed. Anica is knowledgeable, kind, caring and an excellent practitioner. I highly recommend her!"
